The Police Unity Tour was organized by Ofc. Montuore (Florham Park PD, NJ) in 1997. He wanted to recognize and honor the police officers who died in the line of duty. Eighteen riders that year started on a four-day fundraising bike ride from New Jersey to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. They raised $18,000.00.

Today, the Police Unity Tour has over 2,000 Law Enforcement officers worldwide who “Ride for Those Who Died.” The Tour is the largest donor to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund .
